About this course
This programme has been designed and developed to allow learners to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge as established by EU Directive 2013/55/EU to work within the field of health sciences. This programme implements both theoretical and practical aspects to also allow the learners to acquire the necessary employability skills.

This course targets those individuals who aim to work as Nurses in Malta or European Countries. Non-Eu citizens who are in possession of a minimum BSc in Nursing or 3.5 Years of Diploma Nursing who would like to practice Nursing in Malta or European countries.
This course is intended for those who are aged 18+ and who are in possession of a minimum BSc in Nursing or 3.5 Years of Diploma Nursing who would like to practice Nursing in Malta or European countries.
This programme shall implement various assessment methods, including formative and summative assessments to ensure that the learners have obtained the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively work as a nurse. The aforementioned methods of assessment will also be deployed to ensure that the learners are made aware of their strengths and their weaknesses at various points throughout the duration of the programme. Formative and summative assessments are included in the programme as specified below:
Summative Assessment:
Summative assessments for this programme include individual assignments, examinations, and practical assessments testing learners on their acquired knowledge and skills.
Formative Assessment:
Formative assessments are equally as important as summative assessments as they outline any challenges as well as the progress that learners have made. It will allow them to understand their strengths and weaknesses and allows the tutor to support them according to these same strengths and weaknesses. Formative assessments included in this program include reflective journals and observations, carrying 10% of the total mark of the individual modules. Through the formative assessment, learners will be asked to submit a full reflective journal at the end of the module and not drafts. Learners are able to discuss reflective journals with their tutors prior to their final submission.
Learners must pass both elements of the assign.
